green module ideas

last night i was tinkering with my green laser pen wen i broke off the spring, this prompted me to take the whole pen apart which was fine until the driver just started falling apart. now im left with a brass module with a weak ir diode.

anyone got some good ideas as to what i should do with this?

ive got a ir red diode from a phr sled laying around, thinking of putting that in and just getting a cheap olike driver but not sure how much mw the ktp crystal in there can take.

IR diodes from any sleds do not work, since they are 780 nm ,
and IR diode in green lasers are 808 nm.

What power was the laser?
If it was el-cheapo 5 mW one... it is just much easier to buy new one.
