Heat sinks for the new style dorcy jr.

These are the parts you will receive.

When finished it will look like this.

Here is a short video of how it goes together. Make sure you remove the stock driver and black plastic part but leave the aluminum part in. This will serve as a battery stop and make the heat sink sit in the proper location.

Parts you will need to finish this build are

1. Driver - Flexdrive
2. 5.6mm diode of your choice.
3. Aixiz Lens and focus ring.
4. 1 cr123 battery
5. Small battery contact spring - can use the stock spring from dorcy.

These heat sinks are 22.00 shipped

Quick tip - the word is style, not stile.
This is a stile:

On-topic, I don't have the money available ATM, but I'm interested in one, so will you still be producing these in a couple of weeks? And is shipping intl. extra?

Was that a joke or no? If not, just so you know, I'm pretty sure Dorcy's stopped making them, and there was a GB to get the last stock they had... :(

what did you do to the top of that dorcy Jr? Looks like you cut it down.

Nvm, they are using a newer design. I do NOT like the new style. \

You can see the difference in this
sorry for the large size.

Yea we know, we've been discussing it for around 2 months in the GB thread :) But we have to make do with these since there are no originals left.

Did DarkHorse have a solution for this host??

http://laserpointerforums.com/f63/eghmus-better-than-everyone-else-47484.html

I had 3 of these and returnded them because the host had changed.

Ehgemus , you da man!!

It's not a competition, Ehgemus has made some great heatsinks for us but Dark_horse spent a lot of his own time putting together new original heatsinks for us, it was NOT his fault that the host's had changed, and when he found out they did, unfortunately due to money issues he had to close his company.

Try to be a little more understanding...

i didn't know ther was a competition...!!??

Were you here when dark horse made the original heatsinks for the dorcy jr??

he didnt know there was a change until another user and I made that distiction.

This was meant as a fix for the new hosts.. without the knowledge of Darkhorse's dilema , i was unclear to why we did not have a fix.

I don't understand. So the difference is purely cosmetic?

BTW, how much with the host itself?

It's both cosmetic, and the head is slightly differently shaped as well. The new head is widest at the top, whereas the old one wasn't, which previously allowed us to use an O-ring to secure the heatsink. Dark_Horse wasn't able to make a new heatsink because he no longer has access to a CNC lathe, as well as stuff in his real life. It's not for want of trying that he hasn't done it himself. The host was $15ea in a GB, or you can get them for circa $22 online.
