Hey,

Selling this diode driver as I've got no use for it and need the money. The unit is in decent physical condition and passes all self checks. The screen is slightly damaged and has two black lines vertically down the left hand side but this doesn't affect operation. Pinouts can be had from Melles Griot. I would have contacted them but I've not had the time lately.

Ability to plot various graphs of LD power/current/voltage as well as drive TEC(s?).

Forgive my ignorance, but what would you drive with such a driver? It looks like a fairly high quality driver, what with the screen and all. Is it good for any diode as long as it doesn't draw more than 3 amps?

It's a lab tester for laser diodes ..... it can control the TEC, the laser, have a power sensor attached for check the output, and so on.

A professional tool for laser tests.

Exactly. Perfect if you wish to do tests on LDs to check life, efficiency, threshhold and things like that. The fact that it has a graphing feature helps a lot too.

I'll let this go for £40 + shipping. I think that's a very fair price for what it is. :D

How much can be the shipping in Italy ? ..... and, i suppose, you don't have the sensor, just the test unit, right ?

Sensor is just a photodiode, not sure how it would be calibrated though, if it'd be by an external op-amp circuit to give something like 1mV/1mW or if it's maybe some internal software based calibration.

If it needs something like 1mV/mW you could use a thermopile which is calibrated as such.

I'll get a quote for shipping. :)

Not sure about this particular model, anyway, an old one i had around for some time, had a matched sensor ..... still a photodiode, anyway, cause on the box there was switches for wavelenght selection ..... and had an input for the inside photodiode in the lasers, too, but that was mainly for check for the on/off status .....

But i suppose i can arrange something, if the input is a proportional 1mV/1mW, so if the system is still working, i'm interested in it.

Looking at like £30 for shipping to italy.
