FS: "Hot Fusion SkyRay" - 635nm 425mW Build
This was another build where I ventured into the territory of slightly pricier hosts. Like the Xenos, this SkyRay host really impressed me when it arrived. The quality of the machining is phenominal, and the threading is just perfect. Everything fits together smoothly, and it feels really well crafted. I love it when hosts forgo the typical rubber tailcap, and stick with all-metal. I also love the fact that this host (for obvious reasons) will not roll
It uses the newest version of my IRON 4D custom driver, and is powered by a single 14500 cell. Both protected and unprotected cells will fit this build. As always, I recommend purchasing IMR cells, but in this build, I think you'd be just fine with typical TrustFires (etc). The build also features a custom focus adapter, and uses a RED-coated glass 3-element lens.
It LPM's at 425mW on my LaserBee, and displays a peak on my Ophir sensor during the first ~15 seconds of its duty cycle that is in the 500 to 550mW range.
Price is: $265 + shipping. I only ship via fully tracked and insured methods. Please PM me for a shipping quote.
You MUST own laser protection goggles appropriate for this wavelength, and
You MUST be over 20 years of age, and
You MUST be familiar and experienced with the appropriate safety precautions to take with lasers of this power.
You MUST NOT be a resident of Canada
This is not a laser pointing device. At all times, protective laser safety glasses appropriate for this wavelength must be worn by the operator. This laser should not be used around 3rd parties (non-operators) pets, or for any recreational purpose.
This laser is meant to be used as a portable laser light source for rough calibration of systems that require a high amount of laser light as an input. This laser's purpose is to serve as a reference for high powered laser light approaching, but not to exceed a maximum of 2W.
