FS: Argon laser head + Power Supply $200 SHIPPED

I am selling a Spectra-Physics argon laser head and power supply.

The laser head is a 161C-01, but has a 161D tube inside of it which produces [highlight]24mW multiline at 8 amps[/highlight]. I was not able to power up the unit because I was unable to obtain an umbilical cable (The cable that connects the laser head to the power supply). So an umbilical cable [highlight]WILL NOT[/highlight] be included.

The power supply is a Cyonics/Uniphase 2112A-4SLBK, it appears to[highlight] work great [/highlight]when I plugged it in (Fan starts, LED's light up, etc.).  It uses a standard 120 volt plug.

I am looking for [highlight]$175 + s/h [/highlight]for this multiline argon laser that only needs an umbilical to work. I will ship the laser via UPS, PM me your city/zip code if you would like an estimate in shipping. From what I've seen, it won't exceed [highlight]$50[/highlight] (I'm in Texas).

I say "lowering" because if shipping and handling cost less than $25, I will work out a deal with you to give you a fair discount.

You do know that the PSU you are selling with this is not the matching PSU for the head ? Would probably still work with some umbilical cable fidling though.

I'm aware of that, but as long as you get the umbilical connectors right you really have nothing to fear. The guy that I bought the PSU from pulled it from a working system, stating that it was reliably feeding ~8 Amps to another argon head.

yeah, it will work with some rewiring, wouldn't be hard to do

If the umbilical issue is holding you back, don't worry about it. I can help whoever buys this to get it running, it will be very simple. I even have a full cyonics umbilical sitting here if you end up needing it.
