The host was made by Mohrenberg and is quite small considering it contains a protected 18650 without issue.
The unique part about this build is that the flashlight head IS the focus ring. So you just twist the head and can go from burning to infinity without the ugly aixiz knob.
Originally there was no room to heatsink the driver but I was able to modify the heatsink to get the driver mounted to a half moon of aluminum which is thermal epoxied to the heatsink SO the whole host heats up instead of just the driver giving it long run times. :drool:
I know its not a 1.3W like so many are these days but this is using a real microboost laser driver...not a LED driver. Visually it is also indistinguishable from my 1.5W 445nm in my opinion and burns like crazy. It is the same power as most Wicked Lasers Arctics.
