Up for sale is my 3W C-mount red labby with 5W FAC diode! I am broke now and reeeaaally need the cash... :D

The laser diode is driven by a PLD5000 laser diode driver (these alone run ~$100) and is currently set at 4A, which gives 2.9W in the current setup. This laser diode can safely take more current (especially with additional TEC cooling) and the driver can be easily configured to run 5A. The whole setup is powered by a DC power supply that runs on 110VAC.

Fast analog modulation up to 150kHz is accessible via two leads on the driver. For CW operation, leave these shorted.

The laser head is small and meant for incorporation into an end user's heatsinked setup. Do not run this module without additional heatsinking for more than a couple minutes at a time. For best results, the head should be TEC cooled as these diodes run much better cold than warm, both for longer lifetime and increased brightness from spectral blue-shifting, as well as an actual increase in power output. Furthermore, I am not sure on the AR coating on the lens, but I think it is for 808nm. A 650nm coated lens would likely provide an additional power boost.

The laser diode was brand new when I got it, and has been used for less than an hour for a few small demos, and was never implemented into a laser show setup or similar.

I want $450 shipped to the US (PP gift or pay the fees) and for international shipping, contact me for shipping quote.
Sep1 Price drop to $400

Any idea what the emitter size is, or divergence with what lens you are using?

Price drop to $425!

Ebay is already taking too much of my money :( for other projects, otherwise I'd probably buy this.

All too familiar with this...even when broke I end up dumping my last pennies on laser parts. When it comes down to food for a week or an interesting laser part on eBay, I end up eating ramen noodles... :D

Styro Sell that sucker On Photonlexicon that's a projector worthy diode.
Will do, thanks for the tip!

This is a unique diode I read a couple threads showing a guy building this into a pointer.. but I'd really like to experiment with one of these.

Is there any styropyro credit lines available with low interest haha.

Good luck awesome laser! Great price also the diode alone is worth 350$

Hi

I have a 675/680nm labby I had made from lazeerer some time back. Used it once and it's still in the box brand new . The housing is machined and does around 1W this thing is one of a kind and professionally built.Added a few pics of the inside and the machined parts and adjustment of the diode before being set and ultrasonic cleaning of parts

Lifetime, yours for sale too?

Styro, can you show a photo of the spot on the wall taken through laser goggles so I can see the shape of the beam? Is it square or more of a line?

Hi Alaskan ,
i hooked it up 1 time for 5 min and put it back in the box Angelos built it for me and you know his way is all custom machine work . he worked on it for about a month so his builds are one of a kind. i'l check out the beam and i think he said it can be adjusted for a little more amps . Its a 1 W 675/680nm i might be interested in selling it every part is custom machined for the build.. Nothing Chinese about this one for sure all american made

Rich:)

I'd bet that the diode was made in China. :D

Price drop to $400! You couldn't build one of these for that price.

Hi Sty,
Wow i just answer a question from Alaskan sorry to jump in on your for sale thread it was not intended. regardless of where the diode was from its an awesome build bare none for a famous and trusted member. I bet those words were the key to you know what. if i offended you i'm sorry it was not my intent. i have better pics of the build that are outstanding . And thats what this forum is all about to share information. sorry Alaskan but thank you anyway for your comments..

rich:)

Well, I'm out, my employer screwed up my pay, NONE... I better conserve now.
