I've got just a few premium 635nm diodes available.

These were American made (wow) by the now defunct Spectra Diode Labs (SDL).

These are single mode diodes, 9mm can - SDL-7501. You can see the datasheet for them here:
http://www.fractalfreak.com/wx/sdl-7501.pdf

I made a couple of pointers with these diodes in 2005, and they are still going strong after 100s of hours of use. Read more about the pointer(s) here:

I've got a total of 6 to sell, no more than two per customer please.. my disgression :) (I hope to send them to a good home). $20 per diode, I cover shipping. I have no paypal account, so you'll have to mail me a check if interested. I know the current needed to get each diode to lase at spec, (varies between 50-100 mA) so all you'll need is a DMM to dial them in. These can be pushed to 20-25 mW, but I strongly recommend against it- they'll die more than half the time.

635 looks just a bit more orange than the more common red pointer, it's very close to the 'classic' 632nm HeNe red frequency. One of these lasers at 15mW will appear about as bright as a DVD diode at ~50mW, so it's a pretty bright diode.

PM me if interested.
