Hey Guys,

Its seems slightly longer and different Set screw Holes.

Ive Ordered a few of these Just to check out.:)

They cost more then the other ones i found at HomeDepot but they seem larger.:)

Lets Just Hope that it has a More snug fit then the one Aixiz Has.:)

I will keep you guys update when they Arrive.

Here are the Module Mounts:

Re: Found New Laser Module Heat Sink Mounts

Those look pretty neat, what type of set screws do they use?

I have No Idea.:( Iam guessing that these are similar to the Aixiz Ones however if you look at the opening they seem to be slightly different so iam hoping that they fit the module better.:)

Thanks.:) Even though its something small, I alway try to share if i find a new item.:)

Never know if its going to be useful for someone.

^ Exactly buddy.:) I Hope that they are a tighter fit then the Aixiz One.

Mine should be here is a couple weeks to know for sure.:)

Does the module fit better? The Aixiz ones I own have a 3mm gap between the module and the heat sink.

I am unsure if there is that gap. I just ordered them yesterday. The Aixiz opening looks slightly different then these. I dont know how to call it but the black ones seem to have some kind of taper in the beginning. So iam thinking maybe they used a different Size bit then the one Aixiz sells. But then again anyone can add that taper in the front.

That taper is most likely a countersinking mark, why it's there i'm not sure... I highly doubt they ream these modules due to the high variance in tolerance in most of these HS

Hey All,

Just got the Module Heatsink in today and its not Great at all.

In fact i would have to say its worse then the Aixiz One.

Here are some pictures i took to show this:

No Way these where drilled specifically for Modules. If they where they need to change Machinist. Iam guessing here that these where used for some other application not related to lasers and they found that they where close enough to a module Drill a couple set screws and called it a day.

They are about 1/3 of an inch longer then the Aixiz Ones which can hold the Full module and then some. Its shorter then the Axiz Ones sells aswell as the bottom is slightly thinner.

If you take that into account they seem to have the same Mass but shaped different.

I Do not recommend you purchasing these.

Looks like they drilled a half inch hole to fit a 12mm module or something like that. I suppose the gap can be overcome using thermal compount to some degree.

I suppose it would be better to using something like this: Alloy Module Holder / Heatsink (16mm) - Detailed item view - OdicForce Lasers Online Shop - if you need the additional width you could even use two of them. The clamping mechanism ensures a much better thermal connection than a setscrew will.

I was Also Hoping for them to turn out good aswell. :(

Benm those look Great.:)

Yes you can make them have a snug fit by adding those thermal pads that you find on the back of Regulators in old PCBs etc. I forgot what they are called.

But i would rather have metal to metal when using a Higher power diode.

I think that would work just fine for Red Builds and PHR and 6x as well. But using them to combine beams might be quit difficult to align everything right.
