Lately I have been taking concentrated Vitamin C tablets, and it has changed the color of my urine to a flourescent yellow color, almost like highlighter ink... So i wondered: what if i shine my BR laser at it?
Low and behold, it is fluorescent!!! And, it makes the beam look green! :D
And so are scorpions (i used to have a pet scorpion who fluorescenced a bluish-green under a UV light)!!

So now we know that urine is fluorescent...

Yep.

I haven't been getting enough vitamins, so mine is currently a darker color, but it still fluoresces. I think it contains phosphorous.

Many bodily fluids, in fact, are florescent... Ever see that show CSI?

Your fun fact/education for the day: Phosphorus was the first element to be isolated in elemental form and recorded in a historical register. A German alchemist in 1669 distilled it from urine, thinking that he could use salts from urine to create the Philosopher's stone. It's amazing how much of the initial chemistry understanding we have came from these guys just trying to make a quick buck because they thought they could "make" gold.

What I found interesting was "Carbonated cola drink"... I was wondering why it contained phosphorus, till I remembered all cola contains phosphoric acid.
