I'm just about to set the current level for my flexdrive v4. I do have the users manual read and I know which pins are input and which are output, but shouldn't there be a small capacitor somewhere on the board that needs to be shorted out before i connect my diode after testing? If so, where the heck is it? I don't want to connect my diode until I know its completely safe. Pictures might help. Thanks! ;)

Just short the output wires of the driver (with it not powered up of course). This will discharge the output capacitor without you having to poke around on the pcb components directly.
