Hi, I recently took apart a ps3 and got a blu ray laser diode out of it, so I decided i'd build a laser. I haven't built one before so I did a little research and figured out that this particular diode isn't very strong. I decided i'd want a little more power so I decided im going to buy http://www.ebay.com/itm/405nm-300mW...04237?pt=AU_BlurayPlayers&hash=item2568c18a2d
and also an an aixiz holder with the glass lense. I'm just wondering what a good driver would be for that power, and what voltage i'd need to power that driver. I'm making this laser as a desktop one, so space isn't an issue. Also, is that diode even worth the money, or should I be looking into other diodes? I want to do some burning.

I looked around a little, would http://hacylon.case.edu/ebay/laser_diode/Groove_2.php preset at 300mA work to run that diode at maximum? And if anyones bought from this company before, that 10$ glass lense housing is similar/the same to the aixiz housing right?
