Hi, I'm trying to build my first laser after reading on this forum for a bit, I don't know much about circuit boards so am trying to stay away from making one. I think I've read that the LED torches have a similar driver you can use for the laser (Dorcy?)
I was wondering if one of the 3 Watt or 6 Watt from the dorcy direct site would be suitable to make a high powered laser from a DVD diode?

I also remember reading that the dorcy already has a driver, you just have to add another resistor and you can use it as a dvd diode host.
