I couldn't get them to good because the lighting was terrible. I wanted to take pics of him because he had really cool coloration.

Nice shots,
I like those jumping spiders, I always try to get them to jump on my finger.
You can see them looking at you and they always turn to face you,
brave little buggers! :D

Well, they aren't REALLY as big as they look in those pictures ;D

He was tiny, you probably wouldn't even notice him unless you were looking for him. He was about 4mm long at his longest dimension, nose to tail.

Nah, those are mainly members of the tarantula family. These guys are very distantly related, they use their hair for insulation and feelers.

dude... i saw 1 that was about a half inch long.... it was awesome too... think i watched it catch a ant...

i have alot of the funnel web spiders around my house... i feed ants to em... i dont get y ppl r afraid of em... they entertain me all the time

Are you in Australia or America? There is a major difference between funnel web spiders from those two places. They share a name, but they're really only related in that they both have eight legs.
