hello, i'm building a small laser which contains a good amount of components, i got a thread of it in the blu-ray & violet section if you are interested. now, i'm searching for an battery half the size of an AAA. Or a A23. But it needs to be 3.7v and lithium rechargeable. I can't find anything, as i don't know what to search for lol. But the diameter must not exceed 10.5mm, and it would be awesome to get a battery smaller then 30mm in length. If someone can help me finding one, i would be highly appreciated! Thanks :D

Look at 10280 lithium cells (2/3 length AAA and closest you'll get to an A23) or 10180 lithium cells (1/3 length AAA and significantly smaller than A23).

Hello, thanks :D unfortunately they aren't as cheap as 10440's :( but now i know i can make my build inside a small host!

If you want to go with something cheaper, there are NiMH button cells. You could probably put 3 or 4 in series to have a similar size and voltage. Not as convenient, but it'd be cheap and simple.

Beatcha to it brosky ;)

Yep. Need to work on my typing speed I guess. That or focus more. :D

edit on the button cells: There may be a significant limit on the current you could pull from the button NiMHs, but I'm not experienced enough to be sure without some research. There are also rechargeable Lithium coin cells if you only are looking for size and not form factor.

Thanks for your answer, i think i will go for the 10280 as this laser costed me more then 24 hours straight to design and make, guess what, i'm still not done yet. And they are actually pretty cheap, but they put minimal order limits of 3 to 10 of them making them expensive, i will go for it :D
