3) dot on my hand, it actually starts burning if I hold it any closer than 1M.

I dont know, it's supposed to be 35mW, but it can easily cut tape, im guessing its about 50-60mW :)

um im not sure xD, there doesnt seem to be that much IR :P but its more than 35mW for sure .

This is comparing my 30mW pointer and the labby, sorry for the bad quality .

Nice!

My 40mw labby doesnt have a IR filter, but i'm not concerned too much.

Diachi: If that pointer really is 30mw, the lab laser has MUCH more power than 35mw for sure, I would say about 70mw according to the picture. Cool to get a laser that holds 2 times the power it's supposed to have, especially one from DX! :D

Yeah, it's great, and im sure the pointer is no less than 25mW, the Romisens seem very reliable after all, this labby is actually a replacement to the laser one, which broke when I shorted the leads, causing a 2.2A power spike straight to the diode :-/ But before that blew it was overpowered aswell, might be the fact that I'm giving it 6.1V instead of 5V, the voltage does seem to make a visible difference .
