This was the one I first started off with. Its amazingly durable and can handle minor crashes, all you do is straighten the rotors and you're off again! These fixed pitch models are actually harder to control then pitch/throttle curve because it's very unstable but it is really fun, and it's very cheap and easy to fix (compared to 3d's). This is the perfect beginner’s helicopter. John, I think you should keep trying! Or maybe not, judging from your Halo skills.... ;D ;D ;D Just playen man! I was very persistent, and spent LOTS of time practicing, rebuilding, and getting the feel for it. Hey, maybe Darklandz would be interested. http://www.laserpointerforums.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1221785678/10#10

haha, I'm sure that wasn't the 1st time you had +k/d spread. ;D That game can be really frustrating sometimes though because it's really not a fair game. ;D Yeah, I actually bought two entire helicopters you know if you buy the trainers with the ping pong balls you can use the carbon fiber sticks as the frame for the heli but you have to cut them down but costs about $12 for 4 instead of $6 for 1 if you were to buy them as the correct piece. They don't make too much money off the initial sale, its the replacement parts that kills.

funny, i was just talking to mikeyyy about rc helis last night. I had one and well the first time i flew it i broke a blade :-[ within 10 seconds lol. Then I ended up hitting the tail on the ground and snapped off the the whole tail rotor motor holder off :( So I got a whole new tail boom. Then when i soldered the motor wires back on, i didn't notice i accidentally had a piece of solder in between shorting them out. So I turned it on and the whole heli starts smoking A LOT :o I never did have too much luck with it lol. I'm looking at some ducted fan jets right now. Look pretty fun and easier to fly lol :P

You should really stick with it. Once you learn how to hover, you're hooked!

ya no kidding! it takes good time to learn this hobby but once you do it is fun! i love watching my dad do all sorts of auto rotations and neat tricks!

oh i forgot, the best way to learn is with a simulator and to hook up the controller to your computer, that way you will learn without paying so much money for broken parts!

What are your trade options? Looking for anything in particular?
