Yes, that says UitraFlre.

Also, no where in the listing does it state anything about being Ultrafire brand either. They've supposedly got a "protective" circuit on it, but it wouldn't surprise me if that's fake too... I wanted generics. I don't trust Ultrafire batteries at all.

Listing here; eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

I got a fake ultrafire 18650, the one with that "powder" in it, I wanted to see how "protective" that "circuit" is and guess what.... No circuit, I abused it till death :eg: but it never caught on fire so it must have arrived completely discharged, I should've taken pictures sorry :(

The pointer I ordered from Laserpointerpro came with a real Ultrafire battery; it's been working fine, and recharging quickly (30 minutes). I didn't know counterfeit ones existed (took me a few moments to notice the misspelling. Uitra? Ha.) I've seen bogus Sharpie markers, with the spelling "Sharpee", but bogus batteries are a new one to me!

It's recharging quickly because it has low capacity. :yabbem: My shot glass fills more quickly than my stein.

Just tested them out, there's no protective circuit on them. Damn thing discharged at 20 amps into my multimeter. o.o

Ridiculous.

So let's see there taking crappy batteries and making them even more crappy by counter fitting them what's next sending a big hot steaming load of shit in a bag with a PCB hagin on it?

There are NO 14500 cells with that 1200mah capacity.

A very good Sanyo is only 750mah.

Larry, you should sell all types of rechargeable batteries. I can't ever seem to find a reliable seller of ... any lithium battery to be honest. And I hate Ultrafire/trustfire/whateverfire batteries.

Sum up the last 2 comments. Indeed Ultrafire is a rewrapping company.

This company basically dismantles old battery packs, finds cells that are ok and rebrands them as their own. Often they change the battery specs, 2400mAh becomes 2800mAh and so on. All their cells are non protected, I believe.
In addition these companies are based in Juhai PRC and are responsible
for major environmental damage as they take every shortcut to
max their profits. Chinese battery companies are particularly bad.
Not safe!

Tenergy and LG are both producers of decent quality
Liion cells
