It looks like the same person is selling five He-Cd Laser also! All but one He-Cd is selling for $49.99.
All of his laser items are being sold as "untested".

My 543nm HeNe just arrived yesterday so I don't NEED another either.:)

Sam's FAQ says never but a GreeNe unless you know it works.

HeCds are always a gamble, they're reservoir gas lasers, and as such are exceptionally fragile and limited lifetime.

It's always a gamble when buying from a seller that doesn't really know what they have, but those are also the only sellers you'll get massive deals on. If this guy knew he had a fairly good condition green hene he would probably charge $200 for it. It is up to the buyer to determine if they are willing to risk the money for it. I once bought a lot of about 20 632.8nm heads which all had their alden cables cut off within a half inch of the head. Every single one of them was working excellently. I resold them at 50% markup, which still came to 1/3 of the normal going rate.

Yeah it's a good way to make good money. Most other color HeNes are a few hundred at least. 2mW is the typical max quote. Anything over is usually temporary overfill. (i.e. It's likely very new)
