Hi guys,
it's a quick review, basically a copy of what I wrote for DX when I received it some months ago.
I really enjoy it.
DealExtreme: $20.78 SKYRAY S-R5 Cree XPE-R4 5-Mode 320-Lumen Memory LED Flashlight (1*18650/2*16340)

Pros: The first thing that calls people's attention is the design. Of course it isn't an original design ( it's a copy ) but it is still very nice, nice color too, not dark grey, but darker than usual. I could spend hours describing it but, to sum up, the host is very well planned outside. It has a "hot surface" warning, a nice crown and a nice shape. It feels solid. The big gum-rings on the host improve the design and grip. You can see the details in my pics.
Although some people say the oposite, in my unit all the o-rings and sizes fit perfectly. It can handle even the larger protected cells.
The host gives a great heatsinking. The entire body heats up proportionally. Not only the driver and emitter. I forgot it switched on for 90minutes in the mid mode. The entire host got hot, but it quickly cooled down and no damage was taken.
The memory mode is very useful. Having to flick through all the modes would be really annoying. The strap is also a good idea.
The output power is very good, gives you a great stable bright light. I couldn't measure anything, but compared to what I've seen it does the job.
Cons: The clicky switch is a little bit hard to push.
As already said, SOS is too slow.
Bottomline: It was my first flashlight from DX and it was a really good choice.

I have noticed that this body is one of the few which have the internal part of the head not anodized.

Bad batches are VERY possible. I bought a second one and it was terrible. Poorly lubed, nothing like the first and excellent one. I received the RMA and it's ok but still not as good as the first one.
