This is about an hour away from me but i don't know much about it. If its a good deal i can probably go get it for someone and reship for the cost of shipping if they want. But i dont have any scanners or lighting so i dont need it.

Niko, to use it for your LED project you would need to build an interface that receives DMX data, then turns on the appropriate LED's etc. You can't drive LED's with the direct output from that desk, since it is a serial protocol, not varying voltage signals.

If you know anything about microcontrollers, I have developed a microcontroller based DMX LED controller. Basically, you can use something like the ATMega168 or 328 (With Arduino bootloader), 16Mhz oscillator and a DS75176 RS485 transceiver. I use this to control my 60W RGB LED array from DMX :)
