So I thought I'd show off the Spartan a little bit. You guys have seen very little of this laser and I've seen a lot of yours so thought I'd put this up. My camera is really quite terrible for getting beam shot videos, so this will have to do you untill I get a better one. There's two here, one's an MOV download and is really much better quality than the Youtube vid. I'd earge you opt for the MOV because you'll be able to see the needle a hell of a lot better.
Spartan BP 40mW, tested fresh off the shelf (has been in storage for about a month) with around 80% battery life. Unit tested for 90 seconds on a Scientech 362 with a Scientech 36001 calorimeter, I know carpet isn't the bet surface but it was the only area in my house with decent lighting for the camera. A solid surface is preffered, but the readings aren't any different so it's fine for the test.
Anyway, here you are. If you just watch the Youtube vid, put it on full screen. You can see the needle, just not very well. Apologies for the bad quality...

So yeah. Power slowly climbs for the first 20 seconds (which I actually like, means it can stay on for longer), probably due to being unused for a long length of time. Peaks at 53mW and holds an average of around 49mW throughout the test. Not bad if I do say so my self. I specifically tested with semi used batteries so there's no added power from a full battery. When the battery is full I get a peak of 59mW, but average is always around the 49mW/50mW mark.
