i baught some Soshine Li-Ion rechargable CR123's from deal extreme. Are they safe to use in my diy dorcy jr.?? Im reading 3.5V from them instead of the 3V it says they are. I dont have a capacitor, just a 10ohm resistor in it. What is the reading of a normal cr123?
Thanx!!!

My rechargeable 3.6V cr123A batteries finish charging at around 4.2V. I think it is normal for the 3 volt version to finish charging at 3.6V.

tone1132:

What you have are RCR123s chemically it's impossible to achieve 3.0v as a rechargeable so that's why those batteries are 3.6v

They might or they might not. Are you feeling lucky?
You could always use them in something else until the voltage drops a bit. There is also the 5pack of 3V primaries on dx.
