I pulled this combining cube out of a old HD TV

pulled the extras from it

Effect when shining cree Q5 through it

The rest is a copy and paste from my thread in optics but I figured it was just a relevant here

I very roughly mocked up a combiner using upside down saucers, drink coasters, and scrap paper adjusting shims

Turned out pretty good though in my opinion!

You can see the reflection of other beams on the tips of the lasers but it seemed to work pretty well even so.

405nm + 532nm - sort of looks like 445nm

Now I have to admit that the camera seems to help blend the colors quite a bit. In real life up close you can see multiple colors in the beam but messing around with correct focusing etc should remedy this.

Fun for a spur of the moment little project!

Looking great for a salvage build.
You will probably have problems getting everything "just right" with the setup you are using but that sure is a pretty white beam ^_^

Im planning to use a low power (relative to their potential) 445nm, 300mW 660nm, and 100mW 532nm. Ill keep this thread updated as things come together.

I also my just use dicros instead of the cube. Anyone want to comment on this? Is this a better way to go?
