I am now collecting payments for the group buy. If we can get all the money in by Monday, I will order the Gratings on Christmas Eve, so that they will arrive during the first week of January. If this happens, I should be able to get all the packages sent out before the 15th.

As far as payments, I calculated each person's amount in the following post. If you find an error in yours, please let me know. The first number is the total amount if you send the money as a gift. The second number (the one in parenthesis) is the amount extra that you will need to send if your payment is marked as "for goods/servces". If you have a rep power of less than 10, please send the money as a gift.

Also, please be sure to send your LPF username and shipping address along with your payment (in the section where it allows you to send a message). This makes it worlds easier to match up payments with people.

My paypal address is n.w.s.i.e.g.e.l.(at)gmail(dot)com - with all the periods taken out.



Totals were calculated by the following:

$11.64/pc - for each diffraction grating (fan or matrix)

$5.80/order - for USPS priority mail shipping (2-3 business days, US only)

$1.40/pc - Shipping from DL to me. (I will pay part, and divide the rest by the total number of gratings in the GB This should come out to between $1.25 and $3 per grating, depending on the amount of interest.)

$0.50 + 3% - for paypal fees, unless you send the money as a gift.

Awesome, I was just trying to buy some and was having card issues. I told DL to send me a PP invoice which they have not done yet. you have perfect timing for me at least, something that almost never happens to me. this will save me a lot of that shipping. one of each for me, just like Jeff AKA Flaminpyro

I do have a silver account with DL, so i get a tiny discount any time I buy. If this could make it even cheaper, I could run the GB

I put both of you down for one of each. At this point, shipping is about $2.50 per grating from DL to me. If we can get 15, the price will be $2.25. At 20, it will be $1.75. At 25, it will go down to about $1.70.

@Shakenawake: I appreciate the offer, but unfortunately I have to do the transaction since I am exchanging a laser with the order (which is why the shipping is so cheap).

Oh yeah, that's right. duh. I have had to send one back to them too, no fun, though it was my fault. maybe I PM you my login info, you repair your laser and get the gratings with my discount?

Adam from DL got back to me. He said they they could not give a discount on the gratings unless we got 100, but that he might be able to hook us up with FREE shipping. I will confirm this with him tonight.
