And was wondering what safety glasses do I need and can I see the beam?

Thanks.
yes you can see the beam ( in the dark ) add a little smoke and it brighten up a lot and you need blue OD+5,OD+6 safety glasses.

Learn to use the search engine properly then.
yes, a 100mw is barely visable at night, and once you learn to use the search properly you can find out why.

btw.. I thought double accounts/ban evasion isn't allowed Hydrogen? or are you Walshy155?

WTF is with the name calling? Chill before a mod smacks both ya up side the noggin. Sheesh. The search here does suck at times. I've searched for terms I know were in a post and got no responses. Make sure you use the custom google search next time and not the crappy built in search and you should get better results. It works much better.

Back to the question at hand. Yes it can be visible. In a dark enough area you can see it fine. Hell I can see my 4mw 635 pen build in a dark room at night. The caveat with it is I have to be looking pretty much parallel with the beam fairly close to eve level to see it. My LPC815 build is visible at just about any angle in a dark enough area.

Um. For 100mW, OD2 would be sufficient. Since that will get the beam power down to 1mW.
