Building two 405nm Torches

To start off, I originally inspired myself by ripping apart my blu-ray drive and taking out the diode from it, which as my first time (being quite ignorant of the methods as well) smashed the diode lens.

Later, I ordered a couple drivers, lenses, and sleds to start another project.

I'm using the O-Like 405nm driver (200ma), axixz lens, and xbox360 HD-dvd 405nm diodes now.

Below, I have a CR123A battery which I plan on using for power, and the host is an led flashlight from wal-mart. I took apart the flashlight and never found a current regulation board, so now I'm curious if I can just hook the battery up to the driver and lead it to the diode.

The battery is 3 volts, so I don't see any over-voltage problems. But, the driver has two "+" power inputs. One is named "VCC'+'power" and the other is just "VCC'+'"

VCC+Power is near the top, by the diode positive and negative, while the VCC+ is near the back by the grounding.

With common sense applied, I figure that the back input is the one to use for the battery, although I'm not sure. I don't want to fry the driver.

Any help is appreciated.

(The mystery picture is of two large lithium ion 330 volt batterys on a board, extracted from a surveillance camera)

I've read that the labeled picture on O-like is wrong for this driver.

Here is a video of how it is supposed to be wired
