Hi, I'm doing my first build and my plan was for it to be a 100mwish 405nm laser. This was cut short because upon removing the extraneous material surrounding my 803t, I broke off the positive and case pins :(. After learning from my mistake, on my second one I did a lot better of a job and the current runs through it fine :). However, I would love for my first diode to work as well as it is already pressed into an Aixiz, any way to fix this? I did a search and some people mentioned "bridging" and "reversing", but I'm not sure how they mean. If anybody could help, it'd be fantastic.
I'll probably have some more questions about the build as it continues aswell, so I'll keep them all in this thread.

you could just solder a blob over the spot but it would make the diode case positive... you would have to adjust the build to be case positive in that case..

I was planning on doing 2 9v battery builds so I didn't read up much on that. But again, I did remove both the positive AND case pins, would the blob still work? there is a little nub for the case but the positive is pretty flat and I don't have a camera that can take pictures up that close.

can you still see the wire? As long as the wire didn't pull out of the insulation and you can get solder to stick to it, do that.

As mentioned, solder blob would work fine. I used to break pins all the time and would do this technique. What sucked is when I broke BOTH the positive AND negative pins.. then to the graveyard they went.
