Can someone please help with identifying the pinouts for this diode?
It came out of a PS3 laser sled model KES400a.
It has 5 pins... 4 of them are not connected to the housing, 1 is.

I will post a picture in just a few minutes, I need to find my camera.
I appreciate any help!
:)

Yes. This diode has more than one color in it

rld = red laser diode
pd = photo diode
irld = infrared laser diode

You hook up the gnd and the vld

sweet! it worked great!
I now have (5) bluray lasers, tuned at about 80mw reading on the MM!
They just start to get a little warm so im not going any further... and has a visible beam!

For kicks and grins, one night I hooked up both the red and the violet die. I had a pretty pink laser for about 3 seconds. Then I had a pretty pink led ;D

It would appear that laser light doesn't share well, eh?

I believe Hemlock Mike did this a long time ago, but I can't remember how much current he was putting into the diode, he did say it got warm pretty quick.
