Don't be afraid, step right up and see the freak  ;)  Modded MXDL to take a single 18650.  Uses x3 x20 long die open cans at 250mW each and x3 Flexdrivers along with a custom sink I machined up. Awesome Predator targeting system.

Wow.. lots of power in a little package!

I guess it must be cool for long distance pointing as the beams would overlap and merge to one when they get wider with divergence - provided you got them nice and paralel.

But doenst that thing get afwully hot after a while? I'm sure the transfer by that heatsink is good, but it does have to go somewhere, so the size of the light is a bit of a limit there.

Its a pretty large host, takes a long time before it gets too hot., though I'll try more than 10 minutes to see how that goes.

Why buy one, when you can have three at thrice the price :)

Awsome! You should use a lens or mirrors to focus them to one spot, then you'd have a REALLY powerful burner!

That's what 15 Watts of CO2 will do !!! Your RED monster will be good too if converged.

I see you are now in the RF CO2 club !!! Enjoy

Would this be classed as IIIB or IV? :-?

So, can you devise a way to converge the beams at a few feet? Man what a cool bug zapper that would be! ;D

Yeah thats not a problem.  Currently its just a tri beam though I will mod it further at some point for either a 'Death Star' configuration or telescoped output to squeeze the beams together.
