BEACHBUMBORA-weird man

I met that guy in the forum and emailed and talked on the phone several times.
I also met him at a bar.
I must admit I had nothing bad about him since this August.
In August he requested me to sell my 1W copper heatsink Yobresal build laser as he doesn't have a working one and the one he payed for cannot be delivered on time as he was leaving for Marmaris in there days. As I didn't want to sell it, I told him I can lend him my laser. In these days Yobresal was building the 500mW 5 mode mini.
I told beachbumbora (His real name is Bora as I am not sure anymore) that I can sell my laser as I want to buy the mini build.
He agreed so I payed for the mini build.
I reminded him about the payment many times and he told me that he was sorry to be late and will pay it immediately when he gots back.
After he returned he never answered my calls.
I GOT NEITHER ANY PAYMENT NOR MY LASER.
Never ever make any trades with him and do not send anything to him otherwise you can never get it back!

Note:That is the worst guy I ever met as he does that even he knows that I paid twice the price of that 1W laser as the first one sent to me got lost in mail delivery.

Man murrat, you must be a really nice person. I would not loan one of my lasers to anyone, even if I know that person. I hope you get what is owed to you.

The problem seems to be your own trusting self....

If you would have asked the Forum if you should lend your
Laser to this person I'm sure the Forum members would
have advised you differently or made more secure suggestions.

1) do you have his address ???
2) can you send the authorities for a visit ???

Doing a little checking it seems he bought a Laser from Yobresal
in Feb. So Yob should still have beachbumbora's address...

I always trust people. Of course I am not an idiot to trust everyone.
I just lend him because I thought to buy the mini and sell mine to him.
The scammers, liers doesn't know one thing; they can only do this once.:scowl:
About the address I think the same like you Jerry. I'll let all know about the result.
Our forum must be cleaned off these type of people.:scowl:

I always prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt.

Unfortunately that means once in a while, you will end up with situations like this one.

Hopefully police can do something. You could file a report for stolen property, and I assume you have his name and address. At the very least maybe it would be an unpleasant experience for him.

It is not easy to file a report as it is a strange situation for the police, not stolen and sent by me..

Send him an invoice, and copy a lawyer on it.

Or claim that it is stolen. After all he is in possession of your property and refusing to return it, or compensation for it. That's theft.

No question about it, what I meant is he didn't screw as many people before being revealed.
