Batteries for this laser? Laserbtb 750mw HL

Hey everyone,
So I just purchased a 750mw 445nm "handheld" laser from laserbtb (model HL445 - 750) and I am totally confused as to what batteries to buy for it. Here is the link to the laser I purchased:
HL 405,445,450nm

According to the site, it requires 2x 16340 size batteries, but when I opened the user manual (http://www.laserbtb.com/UploadFiles/201310071707487349.pdf) it claims the capacity should be between 2200 and 2800mah which seems to be impossible, even with the AW IMR cells everyone suggests (they are only 550mah each!). Also, suspiciously, in the picture it shows an 18650 battery! I still am almost sure that is the misprint, and the laser actually takes two 16340 batteries (it makes sense to me that way) but is it even possible to get that kind of capacity out of such small cells? If so, where can I get them?

Lastly, does anyone know of any decent (not necessarily as good as AW IMR) battery brands offered on Amazon? I have a gift card there....haha

I'd say almost 100% that it uses 2x 3.7V L-Ion 16340s. As for good brands i'm not sure, i just use ultracrap batteries :)

2x 16340 cells. The 2200-2800 is only to reference lasers that take a 18650. As you know 16340s are under 800mAh. AW does make a 750mAh version but its for their protected one. AW 750mAh are sold out everywhere but one place and if you are buying over 5 cells then its cheaper to go through AW directly

You have taken a look at that ultracrap thread I made in the batteries section right? I just dropped $100 today to replace my last pair of ultracrap 14500 amd get some more cells while I was at it

I actually disassembled one of the 8 that I bought after seeing your thread :) They are in fact legitimate cells, being 16340s  I only use them for <70mW lasers anyways :)

Glad I bought 2x16340 IMR's. Thought the HL only took one, but i got 2 just to be safe- woo! Although, I ended up getting 4 junkfire batteries as well- thought i only ordered 2 lol! The desk with all my laser stuff has 16340's everywhere now :/

It's weird. The hl532 takes one, but most of the other hl take 2. (shrug)

Cool so two 16340s it is. It says it comes with a charger, can anyone who's bought one verify that? Don't know if I really trust the manual anymore....

And so AW cells are the way to go I guess. I'm assuming ultrafire, trustfire, etc. are all overpriced and underspec so I probably won't be buying from Amazon haha

If you are after the 750mAh version then only RTD has them in stock and they dont accept PP :(

Otherwise you can order direct from AW HERE
