Finally decided to come back to this hobby after a long absence after finding my unfinished 445nm build while doing a clean. Now that I'm just about done with my degree and picking up some work, hopefully I'll have the spare cash to get some bigger builds done down the road.

Been doing some reading around and it's good to see some familiar names around. Not too sure what I've missed while I've been gone; doesn't seem like anything as big as the 445nm diodes has happened though.

520nm diodes are cheap now that's about it.
Oh and 561nm got cheap ish for a bit look in my signature. Unfortunately CNI stated they wont be building any more.

Welcome back. There have been many Australian members in the time I've been here but some of them are no longer active, I guess the fact that battery powered lasers are mostly illegal in your country doesn't help. In the time you've been gone we got 520nm and 515nm and 462/465nm diodes, and a more powerful 405nm, and much more powerful 445/450nm diodes.

Thanks for the welcome back guys.

@Isaac Clarke - Yeah, there were only two others that I knew of back when I joined. Difficult with the laws and that.

Those new 520 and 462nm diodes sound interesting. And wow, yeah I was wondering why I was seeing 3+W 445nm builds round the place. Definitely going to have to get my hand on those as well as some new 405nm diodes in the future. In the meanwhile, hopefully I'll have my old 445nm build done up by next week!
