For Sale....
Argon laser tube, tested and it fires up first click and is VERY bright. I can't vouch for the accuracy of my light meter but shows 70-80mW. It appears to be in near brand new condition. Was AU$190, now AU$150.

Hi Silvershot,
That's pretty much all you need. Maybe also a bit of PVC tube so that the air is pulled through the laser tube cooling vanes by the fan.

Also for sale is a complete argon laser system, tube and power supply in one housing making it compact unit. Photos below.

I think that item is what they call a replacement cartridge- so it would be best if you had a whole head with a bad insides so you could just swap it out- then you will have -in essence a brand new argon-- with proper care they last forever(sorta)

One of the Vet Argon guys should be able to tell you who makes it. You would still need a PSU( be sure to NOT buy one that is not compatable with your local voltage)- a cooling fan & hose(dryer hose works)and either a remote interface or a 'dongle', or jumper wires in order to start it at idle or increase the amps to run at higher power. Sorry I don't know more about these-- I have/had 5(6 counting the one I sold to GreenM)so I should have more knowledge than I do.....but I am learning more every day. Gotta love those Argons!!!!HAK

BTW that complete unit from timelab looks like a sweet deal!!!

What is the power supply in Greece? I've got a lead on some PSUs of various inputs if that helps and I'm in the UK so it'll probably be cheaper for shipping? Would have to match up the output too though.

AFAIK- they come either 115vac or 240vac-except for the much-desired 'gold' PSU which is switchable. Its called gold because it is not painted black like the others. If you get the wrong one it is possible to convert on most of them- but easier to get the one you want/need in the first place IMO

Yeah, that's the info I was after. The ones I have access to are either 115V, or 230V, (seperate units taking a single voltage input. No gold here I'm afraid!). I guess that'd fit the bill if you need but much more desirable to get a complete system if possible.

Anyway, I feel I'm going a bit off-topic so I'll let the thread get back on track but at least you know where to get a PSU if you go for the tube.

That tube looks like a JDSU tube to me or a clone..

Thanks for your interest, but I already decided that I 'll buy a complete argon ML system.

Cant go wrong dealing with(ten) Grand(post-wise)Pa Dave--too bad Greece is so far from sunny S. Cal tho. that shipping is a MFer on argons...
