Hi. Whenever I see a tutorial for a Dorcy Jr. they always tend to use cr123a primaries. Is there a reason that they don't use rcr123a's other than because primaries are usable?

Rechargeables are fine. The flexdrive can take up to 5.5V

Well, if you use an RCR123A, will the additional length be too much to the point where the battery cap cant screw back in?

Ok, well the host i'm talking about is the dorcy jr that they have on HTD, and protected rcr123a's from DX

If this the top won't screw down, you can trim the spring slightly since they're pretty oversized anyways. Just make sure you don't trim it too short, take your time.
