Does any one here know ( roughly ) the actual output power of the DX "35mW" lab style green?

If so please tell me, and also tell me the voltage and current if you can.

( I know a few people here own these lasers as I have seen them in some laser show pics Marios 20K scanner I think used one )

Thanks

It has a pot so you can probably adjust it from nothing to over 100mw.
:warning: Messing with the pot on these is a great way to kill the laser. The pots are sometimes faulting and short when you mess with them instantly killing the laser.

I think mine was about 40 mW originally but now it happily delivers a constant 70mW and has done so for a few hours of constant use.
Some get 100mW stable but that could vary from module to module. I'm going to push mine some more when I get it back, I rented it out to some guys (or girls actually) filming a Saab commercial! I get more than i paid for the module, might buy another one! :)

If it has a proper driver, the voltage you are supplying the driver doesn't really matter, as long as it is above the minimum for regulation.

The Reviews on DX says it isn't well regulated till 6V , and ihave a 6.0-6.4V DC adapter there that would do the trick, its actually variable from like 3V to 12V so it has many uses, and I also have my 0V-32V Power Supply so plenty of ways to power it :)

53mW not bad ( what power were you running it at ? ) :) what did it reach when you " tweaked the pot " ( If you have )

And only 1-2mW IR without an IR filter, really glad I purchased it now. :)

Yeah, well all I need to do is wait a few more days, it should be arriving with the Romisen L-A030 ( which I'll need to power from 3V RCR123A's since I cant find 3.6V anywhere, other than DX, and I CBA waiting for another order ;D ).

It might arrive tomorrow, it said it would take 7-12 days to ship and tomorrow will be the 12th day, so fingers crossed.

And of course I'll put some pics up, I'll get some indoors, and outdoors nightime shots  ;) ( although I doubt I will have batteries for the Romisen until next weekend ).

im not sure of the current, but when I need some extra juice I turn it up to about 75mW - stings the skin :)

What voltage do you run it at to get 75mW ? Or do you just adjust the pot ?

you just adjust the pot, changing input voltage doesn't have an effect on the output power

you probably could blow the LD if you turn it up too much, not sure what the limit is though
