A cheap, powerful burning laser build/diode

Are there any strong (400mW+/-) burning lasers out there (-60$)?

Not from those chinese wholesale websites, I don't want a ripoff 5mW disguised as a 150mW with a label!

Maybe you could get a 300mW 650nm (Red) one for about ~80-90$ but still...:beer:

200mW reds are cheap and usually reliable. But all other colors are more expansive. Maybe some cheap 405 could fit, I'm not sure.

This is 500mW for $52 but keep in mind that it's IR which makes it many times more dangerous than a visible laser, also it's much less exciting than a visible laser

I wouldn't go with an infared laser. They are invisible so you can't see the beam or the dot at all, and they are hard to focus.. You'll send your self blind without realising what did it.

Yeah as already said above, you should definetely
not buy an IR laser....
