I've been playing with a couple of lasers and my diigcam, and got some (i think) very nice results.
I wanted to set up a comparison between 635 and 650 looking at the beams rather than just the dots, and my camera captures the difference between them very nicely (more than my eyes do, really).
Shot one: 2.5 second exposure, F2.6 iso 100, with some ambient light on.
I used a tripod and had to aim to get a nice shot, hence the somewhat odd angle of the whole picture. The beams pass the camera at about 20 cm distance on either side, i set it up in the middle of the two beams to get the best comparison.
