I've been playing with a couple of lasers and my diigcam, and got some (i think) very nice results.

I wanted to set up a comparison between 635 and 650 looking at the beams rather than just the dots, and my camera captures the difference between them very nicely (more than my eyes do, really).

Shot one: 2.5 second exposure, F2.6 iso 100, with some ambient light on.

I used a tripod and had to aim to get a nice shot, hence the somewhat odd angle of the whole picture. The beams pass the camera at about 20 cm distance on either side, i set it up in the middle of the two beams to get the best comparison.

Shot 2: Background lighting dimmed to a minimum, and a 10 second exposure with the same setup.

The 635 looks quite orange in this picture, but it didnt look that way to the eye. The difference in brightness between the two looked bigger to the eye than to the camera.

Shot 3: Add some green to the mix! 2.5 second exposure in the same condition as the previous pictures.

The green beam goes about 50 cm over the camera, but still outshines the red beams by far (it has 3x the power and over 3x the visibility compared to the 635, making it 9 times brighter at least).

Also, it hit a double glazed window about 2 meters beyond the camera, reflecting of both panes and hitting the wall 8 meters further on the left side of the picture.

Ive almost forget how bright was my x75 i didint use it for a few week, when i got my hands on dilda.

you using any sort of fog?

A few cigarettes smoked in the room (which is ~8x4 meters) with a window open, nothing that even looks foggy to the eye.

what are the powers of the reds and green?

650 is a '5 mW' standard module from DX
635 is 10 mW rated by aixiz, which i have no problem believing
532 is 30 mW or so, one of those CR2 powered pointers KD and DX sell, and a good one at that.
