Here's my 60W CO[sub]2[/sub] laser. The beam bounced back and cracked the output coupler cooler. So now I have to run it at a duty cycle. No more than 1min on at a time (not that any application takes longer than a minute with this power anyway) The tube is 4' (yes, four feet) long:
The power supply with the radiator and pump:
Control box I built out of a rat shack project box. It includes a key switch (don't want those pesky siblings to mess with this one.) Switches for radiator fan, water pump, 9V out for aiming diodes (currently not installed), Laser momentary on or constant on, and a potentiometer that varies the power from 0-60W. Complete with indicator lights :
And two videos of it cutting a match and lighting electrical tape. Or was that the other way ar-?... whatever.
