5mw green and red laser

Today I was shining my green and red laser on the wall and noticed when looking at the dot it looked kinda fuzzy and a lot of little tiny dots put together. What is this? Thank you

Please post pictures... for all we know you could have left some diffraction caps (Star caps) on or something...

Your lens may be dirty, or it may be normal 'speckle'.

Try cleaning your lens with 99% alcohol and a q-tip (but please wait for someone else to tell you how to do this properly as I can't remember)

I really don't understand your motive for asking these questions cb. You've already answered your own question: look up speckle in wikipedia.

It's a property of coherent light that you can see when it's bright enough.

It's weird when you shine a high powered green on the ceiling and see it in the entire room. Looks like millions of tiny dots on everything near you.
