50mw IR output

i got another 50mw green laser today, and it will light matches pretty quick, i dont have an lmp so i cant measure IR output, but my last 50mw greenie took forever to light a match. should i wear IR glasses with it?

well that 1 you have now will probably give a LOT of IR

Generally, the IR output is 5-15% of the green output in higher power lasers and 10-30mW in lower power lasers.

In my experience, the affect that the IR leakage has on the burning capabilities of a laser is negligible.

You should be more concerned with the 532nm output.
