Just finished my first build! Thought maybe you guys would like to see!

My V1 Dilda died within a week of me receiving it, so i figured why not give it a try...lets throw a 445 diode in it!

I put in an XJ-A140 diode with a Groove 2 pushing all it can give (I don't have a multimeter with current or a test load to test the mA's its pushing out). I am guessing this puts out around 600mw.

It's focused to infinity(had to mod the head) with an AR coated lens.

Its awesome. Honestly I am in love. Might I add blue is my favorite color to begin with.

Surprisingly, it does not heat up too fast. It takes around 1 minute to get pretty warm. Then soon after that the Groove 2 starts blinking because it is running a little too hot.

Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen for me!

Here are the pics!

Nice .. didn't know you can change the lens, but you're right, they fit nicely ! What battery do you use ? Single 3V ?

Thanks guys but yeah, the lens was rediculously hard to take out. And the new lens is longer so I had to mod the head with a peice of a sharpie I cut as a spacer...and its using a groove 2 driver so I am using 2 cr2's...I have 3.6 and 3.0's....my next build is going to be A LOT more powerful....I'm using one of jibs 1.3a linear drives in a coleman cr2 host with a decent heatsink...I'm just waiting for the host to get here!

Looking good! The dilda host is neat and at the same time funny to work with ( if you know what I'm saying ^^ )
