Got a KLC420FS01WW from LaserTree and built into a polished titanium Convoy T3, driving it with a 800ma boost driver.

This measured at 420.9nm with a LittleGarden spectrometer, so still count as 420nm for me :)
The color? Purple! Not the strange 405nm violet or the purplebluish from 445nm blue, it’s purple for me!

I have no ideia of how much power this is doing as I don’t have a LPM.

Some beam shots and comparison with a Sanwu 500mw 462nm challenger

The divergence is not much different, not bad at all!

Unfortunately the camera cannot pickup the color difference…

Very nice, what lens are you using?
I like a G8

Spec says 1700mw @ 1100mA so with a glass single element lens @800mA you should be getting somewhere around 1250mw

I run ran of G7’s so this is using a 3E glass.

I think I have one G8 that I got specifically for this laser, but I’m not finding it… :/

@800mA you should be getting somewhere around 1250mw

I decided to not push harder to not shift the WL more and play safe with the LD, the goal was getting a nice visible beam at 420nm :)

I would love to know how much they can handle, but I only got a $ingle one…
