Ordered 350nm red and a 405nm blue 303 lasers last week. Thought Blue would be the be the better burner of the two but man was I wrong. As soon as the red comes into focus it starts boiling smoke! Really bright also. This thing is way over spec. Shouldnt the 405 be the better burner of the two? I can barely get it to burn anything. I have to say my 532nm is really bright, way brighter than any of them and still my favorite. It's also a good burner. Neither one of my 7w blue flashlight builds have arrived. Parts have been trickling in for planned future builds, lenses, drivers, diodes/modules. S4 host tomorrow i think, maybe wed. Will post later

Haha yea 350nm would be a miracle inside of a 303 host, you probably mean 650nm if you're talking about red.

I had a 200mw dilda 660 from olike and it would light up the room pretty bright.

but no where near the amount as the new 638nm ones they like inslaly bright at 200mw as I have one and a 660 50mw red instead of being 2x as bright as is the case with lasers of the same wave lengeth.(4x the power to double) it's like 8x as bright.

Hardly enough to see any difference, but 660nm is a darker red, 650nm is slightly brighter, 638 or 635nm is more of an orange red and is way brighter.

yep 638 on black at 200mw lights up the room good. has a better beam the single mode ones that is.


you learn to see the diffirent shade after awhile.

No. 200mW of 638nm light is 26 lumens. That would drop down to well under 5 lumens on a black surface.

What sort of dark, dismal place do you live where you consider 4-8 lumens capable of "lighting up a room"?? Your average light bulb is between 800 and 1700 lumens for comparison.

^I am actually curious about this lumen thing.

I wanted a flashlight I could carry on my keys and didn't know which lumen was enough just to be able to see around decently. I ended up buying a 30 Lumen LED flashlight and I can say it isn't too bad. It isn't amazingly bright but you can get around with it
