Just wondering how can you say it's 200mw if you don't have a LPM.... it might be 100mn or 200 or even 300mw (we have seen overspec lasers all the time)....

Because it's a red laser. You'd be hard pressed to find a red laser that's NOT in the 200-300mW range.

And this particular one is usually 200mW dead on. Diode lasers are hard to screw up, regarding power output. It's DPSS lasers that are pain in the butt to track.

This is untrue. I have one of these reds, while they are great burners, mine is not 200mw, but out putting 167mw. I know this, because just got an LPM meter and tested it.

Well pretty close, considering that some 200mW pens won't output a fifth of that.

Also I bet the 160mW holds rock steady across some 1-2 minute runtime. Try a green pen, graphs can go all over the place due to poor regulation or crystal quality.

All in all, reds are far more reliable in terms of power provided for a given amount of money. Greens are far much more of a gamble.

Yes it is steady, a great burning laser, but certainly mine is not 200 mw, but love it all the same, burns very well indeed.
