200mw transformable green from O-like not working

Hey guys, I just got the 200mw green laser I ordered from O-Like.

So, I open it up, pop the battery in and it works!

...For about a tenth of a second. So I put the battery in the charger and wait about 15 minutes. Pop the battery back in, and......nothing. Absolutely nothing. So I turn on my laptop webcam, and put the laser right up to the camera and turn it on, and I can see a light on inside the laser....but of course, no beam, nothing.

What gives? I'm about to contact O-like about it, but I've been waiting for almost 3 weeks for it. Anything I could be doing to fix it?

First make sure your charger is working properly and your battery is charged. The voltage should be above 4V when charged. 4.2V max. If thats the case and your laser is still not working then you are in trouble and your IR laserdiode died. This happened to me with a new 200mW o-like module. Replacing the IR diode is a hard task and not worth the efford.

The light you are seeing is the infrared light. Don't look straight in to the laser even if it is not visible to your eye! It could still be dangerous. It sound's like your driver died or the diode is ruined somehow. Contact O-like, usually they are really helpful.
