We used to light firecrackers and bottle rockets (held in hand!) with RPLs. My 300 was on the weak side for doing green (safety) fuse. The 450 lights it as fast as paper fuses (which are a little fast to be holding in hand!)

Next summer we're going to set some mirrors up and try to set off a bottle rocket matrix - all at once by turning on the laser. At these distances alignment is critical and it ALWAYS is off after a shutdown. If all else fails there is a 10mm 50Watt beam.
