Hello everyone! I still don't know a lot about different drivers, but i need some help. I am planning to build a high powered saik laser, 445nm i'm pretty sure, but the battery pack is wired so that the batteries are in parallel (i think)... Basically, im pretty sure it is wired so you can't use a linear driver. I need one of two things.

1) A ROUND BOOST driver that would fit in the pill of a SAIK-305 that would go up to, say 1.8a, but 2.2 or more prefered.

2) I have heard there is a way to short a battery contact on the battery pack and get it to run on a linear driver. If you know how to do this, that would be awesome!

PS: Anyone know where you can get a low-profile rectangular boost driver that goes up to 2.2a or more?

Thanks For Your Help Guys. Looking forward to replies!

The battery pack in the saik takes 3 AA batteries in series. Your best bet is to use 3 14500s and an x-drive (buck). You can get on from cajunlasers.com

Alternatively, you could use a single li-ion with a boost driver. It will fit a 32650 (d size) I believe.

Got, im pretty sure the x-drive isn't round tho, right. I'll look. Thanks.

Also, whats the capacity difference between 3 14500s vs 1 32650?

There are round X-drives, and the Ben boost was made with the ability to do a round driver, don't know if any are available. I'm sure going directly to Angelos would for a round X-drive would work.
