hello, i just received my 100mw green laser p[ointer but it wont burn anything no matches, no tape or anything else and i used new batteries any idea?

where did you buy it from give us some more details. Sounds like you bought an underspec laser from an unreliable source. eBay maybe?

does it have adjustable focus? if not use a magnifiying glass to focus the laser to a point and then try :)

thanks,
stuart

i did not buy it from ebay or any of that crap site, i live in holland and i bought it from a dutch site so you guys wont able to understand the site and the laser doesnt have a focusable lens.
Do you know where to buy a mignifiying glass?

post the site anyways, we know how to use google translator ;)

ill try to keep it english this time:san:

looks to be way to expensive... im not surprised if they preform under spec not sure though cant pull my conclusions without hard effidence

anyway try rayfoss.com o-like.com or laserlands.com next time they are located in China so shipping takes a bit longer ( 1 to 2 weeks for me usualy ) but they have proven to sell good stuff

and about the battery thing you could try 1,5V primairy batteries but i doubt that wil help much i use 1,2V rechargables in my pens to

thx for all anyways but im not really disappointed in the laser becouse i bought it for the beam and not for burning.

I have a aixis 50 mW lab style with a fat beam it actually can be turned up to 125+mw but since the beam is wide (divergence is bad ) it doesn't burn either

@ the OP & JOHN LAWSON; Turn your lasers on, take off your goggles, look in the aperture, & THEN tell me your laser won't burn. Retinas DO COUNT, don't they ? lol j/k rob
