Shine a small laser onto a frozen, frosted window and see
what the ice crystals do. Just like a personal sun dog.
The Ice crystals form a nice ring around the spot.
This works up north here!

I don't know how many SSY-1 heads there are out there anymore but
parts are rare - -especially flash tubes. I am trying to find a source but
I need to know if there is interest in some. I have no price yet so your
reply is non committal !!!!

On a recent thread, the UVLED365 was mentioned.
It is a .4 mW 365 nM LED offered by Qphotonics.
I went to the site and ordered one with an invoice of
$39.00 and no shipping.
Today, I see that they took me for $56.00 and a call
to them reveled that they added $17 shipping not shown
on the...
Has anyone ever tried building a laser into a Klingon disrupter toy housing?
It seemed like a neat brother to a Star Trek phaser.
An SSY-1 NdYag module seems to fit like a glove in this "toy" The opening under the module fits a basic Axis module and the trigger is two stage for target and...
This is my last try ------
I'm getting older and don't need this meter. It is a Scientech 374 (37-4002)
with 360203 head. Battery powered for remote use.
It is rated for 100 Watts! $600 plus shipping in the USA.
This has been a mess trying to list --- Lets just try a Scientech 365 or a...
I'm playing with my "tiny" etcher which I got from ebay a couple
years ago. I removed the low power 445 laser and replaced it with
a bigger blue. As normal, it doesn't focus to a point.
I want to put in a 405 (about .7 watt) but I need a driver which
puts out 6-7 volts AND has a TTL or...
Has anyone any info on what lenses these
expanders use for fiber modules?
The company is: Micro Laser Systems, Inc.
The low X modules are small :-)

I'm getting started here on a new project. I hope to make this portable (handheld) !!!
A big thanks to Chris from way north for his help.
These are the main components. The FAP RED module, a SUPER buck driver from TI and a
battery pack to kick ass.... The Pot is for power control and the PB...
I have a 12 Watt FAP 800 module. The output is a multi mode, circular, 19 fiber mess which can't be focused with a normal lens. Will a GRIN lens pull the mess together to get good focus??

Who polishes and recoats NdYag rods? I have one which
needs a job on one end. It got a little crap burned onto it.
As I recall, it has ~ 2 Deg angle on it. Try to keep it low $.

The big rod is ~ 6" x 3/16" -- I have another 5 mm x 90 mm
with a small pit at one end but at the very edge.
I just got my 520 module from DTR. Great member....
I built it into a simple housing but had to do machining
to make it look like the others!
These are my 3 hand held lasers with different colors.
I'm not a good beam shooter so this is my best!!
Three beam spots of 405, 445 and 520 --...
Can an old, dead, RF excited 12 Watt CO2 laser tube be
sent overseas? Seems this is old technology
but I'm not ready to find out if there's problems.

I posted this under gas lasers and got no replys yet.
Thought I'd try here.

I have an early Spyder III arctic. Steve used the newest diodes available then but I would like to bring it up to date with an M140 or a 9mm.
How the hell do you get it apart? I want to keep the battery condition diodes functional, jack the current and see it shine!!!!
